Heidy + jonathon’s engagement session

Today marks 5 months until this sweet couple says “I do.”

Back in October I had the pleasure of photographing Heidy and Jonathon’s engagement session along with some family portraits with their adorable daughter.

It was so great seeing them again after I had photographed their daughter’s cake smash session for her first birthday a couple of years ago.

They chose to have their session at Harkness Memorial Park in Waterford, CT.

This location is a Photographer’s dream. It has so many breathtaking spots to capture photos. From their well known mansion, the beach, to their gardens, stone walls, moss buildings, and open fields with high and low grass. When Heidy mentioned that she wanted their session here during sunset, I honestly can say I was overwhelmed at first because of how large the location is and with all of the options to photograph- it was going to be a challenge to narrow down to just two spots. But of course we made it work!

We started at the Mansion..

shared plenty of laughs, danced a little and captured so much love.

..then to the beach

We wrapped the session up with a very cute picnic set up and some bottle popping while the sun set.

This was by far one of my favorite engagement sessions. They truly made the session effortless. I don’t think it could have gone any more perfect. From the natural lighting, the location, detail in the props and overall the genuine love that you could feel with this family. Cannot thank them enough for trusting me with their vision. So happy for them and wishing them nothing but happiness.
